waves-vitamin-vst-plugin

Waves has just released the new Vitamin plugin which is a multiband harmonic enhancer and tone-shaping plugin. They tell us that it will make your tracks or mix sound powerful and full of spark. This is done apparently by Vitamin mixing an enriched version with the original signal.

I thought I would give this a try as it was half-price at present and you could get a further 10% discount from one of their discount codes. The price will go up to $199 soon.

I found this very easy to use and it basically gives you a chain of EQ, a Compressor and a Saturator in one convenient package that has a few extras on top. I particularly like the fact that you can listen by use of a solo button to five individual frequency bandwidths (that you can adjust with cross-overs) to see how they sound in their own right.

It has zero-latency processing which is always a good thing and their are some presets to get you started but the fact that is very user-friendly means that you can simply experiment to get your desired mix.

It is not a cure – all vitamin tablet for all your mix problems, but like all these plug-ins when used carefully can give your sound a little bit of warmth and a little bit of something special.

There is also a Punch button to accentuate dynamics and a stereo width control which is usefull for mastering.

You can download a demo version – so why not give it a try?
