Here is a bit more on the much awaited Roland TD-30KV Electronic V-Drums Kit. I can’t wait until we see this in the shops to try out. I am sure it won’t be long now. In the meantime drool over this massive sound and feel demonstrated by the talented Craig Blundell:-
I don’t remember my Roland TR-909 Rhythm Composer or my Clavia Nord Modular Classic being this good to play with – how times have changed.

Here is something I just don’t know how I missed – Pearl Drums – Tru Trac Eelectronic Drum Heads. I know it has been done before converting an acoustic set of drums into Electronic, but Pearl have been around a few years now and certainly know a thing or two about drums.
Their consideration from an electronic point of view is how they feel and Tru-Trac Electronic Drumheads have the same size and response as real heads. They are available in pre-packs and individual components so you can convert your own acoustic kit into an electronic kit. Both of their pre-packs include (5) No Drill Adapters and all necessary parts and tools to complete your kit’s conversion from acoustic to electronic. All you need to do then is connect the pads to your favorite drum brain like the Roland TD20 or TD30. The conversion process is just like changing a Drum Head.
The two packs are: EPAD-25S contains the following: TTP-B Bass Tru Trac Electronic DrumHead, TTB-10 10″ Tom DrumHead, TTP-12 12″ Tom DrumHead, TTP-16 16″ Tom DrumHead, TTP-14 14″ Snare DrumHead, NDA-1 Non-Drill Adapter (x 5), CH1JB 16″ TRS Cable, DZC15 15″ Long Cable, 52MM Tension Rods (x30), 63MM Tension Rods (x30), NP485 Velcro Tape (x10), BDMTP Hole Position Template, PDPTP Paper Ruler, HPC6 Hole Punch and BDC Foam Bass Drum Cushion.

DAVE SMITH TEMPEST ANALOGUE DRUM MACHINE
INTRODUCING AN ANALOGUE DRUM MACHINE FROM DAVE SMITH AND ROGER LINN
I must say I do have a soft spot for a drum machine but I have never found one that will do all that I want from it. There seems to be less around today and those that are have been with us a few years now. I think some of the larger companies are concerned that they do not sell that well due to the fact that so many people fall into either end of the spectrum with software at one end and the more professional recording of Studio Live drums at the other. Using a hardware drum machine therefore falls somewhere between these two. So the hardware drum machine needs to have something special about it. The famous Dave Smith and Roger Linn have set out to achieve this by building the Tempest which creates its sound from six analog synthesized voices to create and manipulate all of your own beats and grooves in real-time.

Craig Blundell shows off his rock drumming skills to bring you the new SuperNATURAL sounds and Behaviour Modelling. Today, the middle range of the V-Drums family inherits this acclaimed technology with the debut of the TD-15KV V-Tour kits. Have a look at the You Tube Clip:-
You have new sensing technology with “Behaviour Modelling” gives you a great natural drumming experience. You have 100 kits to choose from with 50 preset and 50 user kits. You also have some awesome recorded backing songs to play-along and practice with.
Musikmesse 2012 Roland TD-15 & TD-11 new Drum Modules
Roland continue to expand their V-Drums and now we have two more Drum Brain Modules with all new SuperNATURAL® sounds and Behavior Modeling Technology.
I was very pleased earlier this year when they announced the release of their flagship TD-30 Drum Sound Module although they are not in the shops yet. The TD-30 Module was the first V-Drums to have SuperNATURAL sounds produced by Behavior Modeling Technology to provide realism in both sound and expression for emulating drums, percussion, and other traditional instruments.

Namm 2012 and some really cool drum fun from those clever people at Nord – THE NORD DRUM – VIRTUAL ANALOG DRUM SYNTHESIZER
Roland – What do think of this:-??????
Here is one of my absolute favourites (approx 1600 pounds worth) the much awaited Roland TD-30 V-Drum Module, building still further on the much loved TD-10 and TD-20. Have a look at this beauty:-
I love Nord and I love Drums so the “Nord Drum” caught my eye. This is one of the adds from Nord’s website:-
Namm is only nine days away and I don’t really know why but I am quite excited about it this year. I find Namm very much like Christmas, it is a big build, you can’t wait and sometimes you feel a little let down but as the dust settles there is always something you love about it.
Nord have been involved with drums since they started. They gave us the famous ddrums and it was a great shame when they stopped producing them. Their early products go back to 1983. I am not sure whether this advertisment is going to mean the release of a digital drum kit or a drum machine. This image looks like the latter and I can imagine the amalgamation of their drum and synth skills moulded into one like Dave Smith’s Tempest but I will just have to wait and see next week.
